Are Foreclosure Homes a Sign of the Past?

Tuesday 8 December 2009 @ 8:15 pm

This past year has been nothing short of a nightmare for some homeowners. Homeowners found themselves over their head in their mortgage. Some lost their jobs and weren’t able to make their payments while others were in over their heads from the get go. Foreclosure homes were popping up left and right with some states such as California and Arizona hit harder than others. However, based upon recent news, I think things are looking better for both the commercial real estate market and the personal real estate market.

Speaking of California, over the last month the number of foreclosure homes have dropped. As I said, this is one of the reasons why I think that things are looking up. I feel if the lenders can help remedy the situation in California, surely they can help the nation as a whole. I am optimist that this will happen.

In reality, lenders lose money on foreclosures. it is not necessarily in the best interest of the homeowner, but the lender to avoid foreclosures. Remember, lenders aren’t Realtors. They are not in the business of selling of homes.

Do you think that there is a second phase of foreclosure homes coming our way? I don’t. Most experts agree. We have the government stepping in. What are they doing? Well, they are putting pressure on the lenders. I have to say that this helps everyone. It helps the lenders because they stop losing money. It helps the borrowers because they get to stay in their homes.

Now, I am not saying that all of these foreclosurese cleaned up immediately. Yes, it may take years. But the signs are there that things are improving. Soon, the property listings won’t be filled with a bunch of foreclosure homes.

I tell you this because homeowners may be able to start to breathe easier now. Yes, we do have a ways to go, but my advice is that we are on the road to recovery as far as foreclosure homes go.

If by chance you do find yourself in a bad situation and are not sure about the foreclosure process, my advice is to first take a deep breath. Then, schedule an appointment with your lender. They may now have some options for you. These real estate lenders may now be willing to work with you and provide you with options to save your home. I think the news is great for those wanting to save their home.

Don’t Even Think About $1000 Target Gift Card Until You Read This…

Friday 4 December 2009 @ 4:14 am

I’ve been fascinated by these types of offers in the past….how much is worth for advertisers to get my eyeballs on their pitches and how much work do I have to do to get the final “reward” as in this $1000 Target Gift Card offer.

I actually received a $250 Visa card by spending about $50. Of course, I had to take a few surveys and try out some offers. Was it worth it? Yes. Here’s why I believe that…I received good payment for laying my eyes on some interesting offers that I wouldn’t have ordinarily seen. Of course there were some lame offers mixed in that didn’t interest me or apply to me, so I just skipped over them.

….onto the $1000 Target Gift Card offer at $1000 Target Gift Card where you have to complete 13 offers, which works out to a bit over $70 per offer. For my $250 Visa, I spent $50…received good value with NetFlix. With 13 offers, you might spend $150 or so to qualify…if you choose the right offers, you will get good value for your $150 AND then get the $1000 Target Gift Card.

Bottom line: Don’t expect to get a $1000 Target Gift Card in the mail for doing nothing. But please check this one out….I’m working on it right now.

Time Management Has Really Become Action Management Of Your Time

Tuesday 21 July 2009 @ 3:19 am

Hello,

bTime Management Has Really Become Action Management Of Your Time/B

If your use of time is unbalanced, a time revolution is required. You don’t need to organize yourself better or alter your time allocation at the margins; you need to transform how you spend your time. You probably also need to change the way you think about time itself. What you need should not, however, be confused with time management.

Time management originated in Denmark as a training device to help busy executives organize their time more effectively. It has now become a $1 billion industry operating throughout the world. The key characteristic of the time management industry now is not so much the training, but more the sale of ‘time managers’, executive personal organizers, both of the traditional paper-based type and now increasingly electronic.

Time management also often, comes with a strong evangelical pitch: the fastest growing corporation in the industry, Franklin, has deep Mormon roots. Time management is not a fad, since its users are usually highly appreciative of the systems used and they generally say that their productivity has risen by 15–25 per cent as a result. But time management aims to fit a liter into a pint pot. It is about speeding up. It is specifically aimed at business people pressured by too many demands on their time. The idea is that better planning of each tiny segment of the day win help executives act more efficiently.

Time management also advocates the establishment of clear priorities, to escape the tyranny of daily events that, although very urgent, may not be all that important. Time management implicitly assumes that we know what is and is not a good use of our time. If the 80/20 Principle holds, this is not a safe assumption. In any case, if we knew what was important, we’d be doing it already. Time management often advises people to categorize their list of ‘to do’ activities into A, B, C or D priorities. In practice, most people end up classifying 60–70 per cent of their activities as A or B priorities. They conclude that what they are really short of is time.

This is why they were interested in time management to start with. So they end up with better planning, longer working hours, greater earnestness and usually greater frustration too. They become addicted to time management, but it doesn’t fundamentally change what they do, or significantly lower their level of guilt that they are not doing enough. The name time management gives the game away. It implies that time can be managed more efficiently; that it is a valuable and scarce resource and that we must dance to its tune. We must be parsimonious with time. Given half a chance, it will escape from us. Time lost, the time management evangelists say, can never be regained. We now live in an age of busyness. The long-predicted age of leisure is taking an age to arrive, except for the unemployed.
